We invite you to the Kona MTB Adventure Series ride on Saturday, September 23, at the Sugarloaf Outdoor Center in Carrabassett Valley, Maine. Come ride the epic trails of the Carrabassett Valley trail network during peak foliage. Join us for riding fun followed by complimentary beverages courtesy of Baxter Brewing Co. as well as burgers and hot dogs. We’d welcome anyone bringing along a potluck side to add to the feast. We hope you’ll stay for our informal annual meeting.
Riders of all abilities are welcome and invited. There will be guided rides (as outlined below) as well as self-guided routes clearly marked for those who wish to venture on their own. Ride guides will show you the trail system with riders of similar ability with an emphasis on having fun and connecting with fellow riders.
Anyone with or without a bike, from the Valley or beyond, and current NEMBA members and soon to be members who want to be introduced to the trail network and CRNEMBA, to just ride the trails, or most importantly, to have some fun!
There will be a limited number of bike rentals available from Carrabassett Valley Bike. Contact Bob Ash at 207-671-3560. In addition, we are planning on a having other bike demo options from additional bike shops. Please check back with us for further information as it becomes available.
Expect the party to begin when you return from your afternoon ride, about 4:00ish, with complimentary beverages. Grilling of hot dogs and burgers will begin as soon as folks are ready to eat! Food will be available at the Outdoor Center, again free to all riders and guests. Potluck is welcomed.
Please join us for an informal meeting with CRNEMBA Board members to learn what we are doing, our relationship with the Carrabassett Valley Trails, and to ask questions and share your hopes and wants for CRNEMBA.
Registration will be available at the CRNEMBA tent at the Sugarloaf Outdoor Center, beginning at 9:00 AM. Each rider will be required to sign a liability waiver.
The goal for this event includes a celebration of our bike community and further recruitment of members. Thanks to the remarkable support we receive from our members, volunteers, sponsors, and partners, our free-to-ride trail network will continue to expand! As is always the practice for CRNEMBA, financial proceeds will be directed towards further development of CRNEMBA and the trail system we are creating with our partners.
