Maine Huts & Trails work weekend, supported by CRNEMBA
June 7 - June 9
Maine Huts & Trails work weekend, supported by CRNEMBA. Trail work will focus on trails around the Stratton Brook Hut.
This two-night event includes all meals and lodging in a shared bunkroom, all for the volunteer rate of $25/night per person. Trail projects range from light and easy to heavy and demanding. Volunteers are guided by the trail crew, so all levels of experience are welcome. Necessary training and tools are provided. Each volunteer wears appropriate boots and brings gloves, rain gear, bug repellent, water, and snacks. Work can sometimes includes sign repair and maintenance, both on the trail and working in workshop space in the huts. Groups are always welcome!
Day trippers are also welcome (no reservation needed for day trippers); you’ll need to be at the Stratton Brook Hut on Saturday or Sunday (June 8 or 9) at 8:00 AM for project assignments.
Please call the Maine Huts & Trails office to make your reservation at (207) 265-2400. If reserving online, be sure to put “TWW Volunteer” in the notes section!
