Ride the Region Event: Day 2
NEMBA Downhill Days at Sugarloaf Bike Park (10:00 AM – 5:00 PM):
The lift-serviced bike park at Sugarloaf provides 1,050 of elevation per lap via the Whiffletree chairlift. The machine-built gravity trails provide the perfect amount of vertical with 2.5 to 3 mile-long trails with a mellow grade. The hand-built enduro trails are naturally shorter and steeper. Discounted ticket price $35 by showing Eventbrite ticket.
Guided XC Rides from the AOEC (10:00 AM – 3:00 PM):
There will be Novice and Intermediate+ rides led by Maine Adaptive departing from the Adaptive Outdoor Education Center at 10 AM. Adaptive and Non-Adaptive riders are welcome. The Novice riders will enjoy green terrain and the Intermediate+ riders will ride up to Stratton Brook Hut for lunch. Bring a bag lunch or $ to purchase a delicious lunch prepared by Maine Huts & Trails. Bring a helmet, water, snacks, and appropriate supplies to fix a flat (tube. sealant, etc). If you are an adaptive rider who requires assistance or equipment, please sign up directly with Maine Adaptive at https://maineadaptive.org/participate/.
