The 5th annual Carrabassett Back Country Challenge was a huge success with a record number of participants. The event drew 205 competitors: 105 racers in the 50k , 84 in the 100k, and 16 racers in the 15K; a new race for the CBCC this year. An additional 24 young mountain bikers participated in the kid’s race on Sunday! Over 50 volunteers were involved in organizing and hosting the race. Everyone enjoyed the great course, excellent burritos by Rolling Fatties, a delicious Sunday buffet breakfast prepared by the Orange Cat Cafe, face painting, and other activities.
